Technical writers write, and edit manuals, web pages, lab reports, newsletters, and many other kinds of professional documents. *Poetry expresses the feeling of the writer, and there are many forms of poetry. People write letters for various purposes. Business letters are written for one purpose and friendly letters are written for another. Parts of a business letter are different than parts of a friendly letter. *When writing, authors often describe something by comparing it with something else. This is called figurative language, and there are many types of figurative language. |
