*The President is the chief executive or head of the executive branch of the United States and has seven major roles.

*The President must share power with two other branches of government: the legislative branch (Congress), and the judicial branch (U.S. Supreme Court).

According the the United States Constitution the vice-president has two major duties: To take over as president if the president dies, resigns, or is removed from office, and to cast a deciding vote in the Senate if there is a tie over an issue.

*John F. Kennedy was the youngest man (age 43) to be elected President of the United States, and the youngest president to die in office.

*Ronald Reagan was the oldest man (age 69) to be elected President of the United States.

*Several presidents died while in office: William Henry Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, Warren G. Harding, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy.

Many presidents have their pictures on U.S. paper money, U.S. Coins, and U.S. postage stamps.
