National Collegiate Athletic Association: The organization through which the nation's colleges and universities speak and act on athletics matters at the national level; Athletic scholarships for undergraduate student-athletes at Division I and Division II schools are funded through the NCAA membership revenue distribution. These scholarships are administered directly by each academic institution. Division III schools do not offer athletic scholarships
